There were a lot of highlights at the forum, the atmosphere was warm, and the guests showed great interest in the forum. The forum attracted more than 350 industry experts to participate in.
Since 2017 New Energy Vehicle Technology Forum was scheduled to open, it has attracted widespread attention in the industry. Its growth and glory cannot be separated from the strong support of all parties. In this regard, we would like to express our special thanks to the forum supporting organizations, participating guests, sponsors and media partners for their support and participation.
National policy and market analysis
During the two-day forum, we listened to the wonderful speeches of many speakers. This year, the new energy vehicle technology forum also invited relevant experts to interpret the latest policies and market development trends. Among them, Yang Hongsong, Senior Policy Researcher of CATARC, first interpreted the new energy vehicle policies and market issues that have attracted great attention from the industry. Yang Hongsong pointed out that most of the new energy vehicle manufacturers are oriented by new energy vehicle subsidy policy with respect to product design and market sales at present, and will gradually achieve shift to CAFE (corporate average fuel economy policy), new energy vehicle point accumulation, new energy vehicle quota management and other policies in the future. In addition, due to local subsidy policy for new energy vehicles, various forms of local protection will remain in the short term. He said, “The new energy vehicle market competition has just begun, but due to the small scale, 1 or 2 best-selling models and tens of thousands of vehicles sold in the market can change the ranking order of the enterprises. In the future, who will win or lose is unknown, but the overall market situation will become better and better, and the market scale will become larger and larger.”
Shen Bin, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Branch of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., interpreted China’s latest CAFE, NEV point accumulation management regulations and other latest policies that have attracted great attention from the industry. He expressed that the new energy point accumulation policy and CAFE (corporate average fuel economy policy) which took account of both energy consumption control and industrial upgrading would be managed in parallel, so as to drive the development of new energy vehicles while controlling energy consumption of traditional vehicles, and jointly promote the transformation and upgrading of China’s automobile industry.
Wang Jiliang, General Manager of Shanghai BQ Autodatas Co., Ltd., made a speech on the industry significance of the car data sharing platform. He pointed out that car research and development was driven by data in the big data era, making car research and development simpler. Our domestic brands have invested heavily in the construction of platforms, including research and development of new products. The car data sharing solution enables data sharing in the whole industry and the world through a sharing system, so that the data can be shared by the enterprises without the need of repetitive research.
Vehicle OEMs’ development strategy
Meanwhile, the leaders of major car manufacturers also attended this forum. Jiang Tianbao, ARRIZO 5E Project Director of Chery New Energy Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., and Liang Wei, Chief Engineer of Chongqing Chang’an New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. delivered a speech on their respective development strategies and latest technologies.
Jiang Tianbao, ARRIZO 5E Project Director of Chery New Energy Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., expressed that the core competitiveness of Chery new energy vehicles would be established with technology as the orientation. He introduced that Chery New Energy had planned to build the technological strategic planning of “Full Range + 457”, including the R&D system and integrated platform for a full range of new energy passenger cars, 4 new energy vehicle platforms, 5 general-purpose subsystems and 7 core technologies.
